Our Team & Editorial Standards

Articles on this site are produced by the Civil Society Editorial Team — a group of researchers and editors who track civil society, CSO and NGO practice worldwide.

We publish under a collective editorial identity rather than individual bylines because our articles are a team effort: researched, drafted, fact-checked and edited before they reach you. Every page reflects the same standards, whoever worked on it.

Our editorial standards

  • Sourced. Claims are grounded in primary documents and reputable references, not opinion.
  • Fact-checked. Numbers, names, dates and legal details are verified before publishing; anything we cannot confirm is left out.
  • Neutral. We explain the field even-handedly and do not campaign for or against any organization or cause.
  • Current. We revisit articles as laws, organizations and data change.

Corrections

We fix errors quickly and transparently. If you find something inaccurate, tell us on the contact page and we will review it.
